KYC & onboarding

Identity verification platform covering document checks, biometric verification and fraud detection, now operating as part of Entrust following its acquisition.

What to check before you choose

  • Biometric and ID data: face matching and liveness checks process biometric data. Under GDPR, biometric data used to identify a person is special-category data, so check the lawful basis and retention.
  • Residency and sub-processors: where ID documents and images are stored and processed, and who else handles them.
  • Coverage: which countries, document types and checks are supported.
  • Decision handling: how failed or uncertain verifications reach a human, and what route a customer has to challenge a result.
  • Retention and deletion: how long evidence is kept versus your record-keeping duties and data minimisation.
  • Classification: tools that drive onboarding decisions should be classified by their actual use under the EU AI Act.
