General-purpose transcription and meeting-summary tool with an enterprise tier aimed at regulated buyers.
SOC 2 Type IIBAA on enterprise planZero data retention policy
Compliance note
General-purpose rather than finance-specific — check whether its enterprise tier is required to get compliance features, and confirm the zero-retention terms are in your actual contract, not just marketing copy.
EU-headquartered meeting recorder and summarizer, with a choice of EU or US AI hosting and a stated policy against training on customer data.
SOC 2 Type IIEU data hosting optionNo-training policy
Compliance note
One of the few in this category headquartered and hosted in the EU by default — worth a look for firms wanting to keep meeting data in-region. Confirm current SOC 2 report scope (some documentation shows Type I) before rollout.
AI meeting assistant built on voice technology — combines real-time background noise cancellation with bot-free transcription, notes and summaries in one app.
SOC 2HIPAA & PCI-DSSNo voice data stored
Compliance note
Notably also PCI-DSS certified, which isn't common among meeting-notes tools — worth a look if your firm also handles card payment data in calls. Bot-free by design; over 800,000 professionals and 200 million devices reported.
AI meeting assistant built for wealth management, financial planning, insurance and tax. Works without recording the call itself.
No-recording modelAdvisor-specific templates
Compliance note
Positions itself specifically around advisor confidentiality obligations rather than general-purpose transcription. Global Relay lists an Open Connector for Zocks (as at 5 Oct 2026); it requires a Zocks Enterprise account, so confirm requirements with the vendor.
AI assistant for financial advisers that records client meetings and drafts summaries, file notes and advice documents in the adviser's own format.
SOC 2 Type 2Adviser-specific templatesZero-retention AI agreements
Compliance note
Marloo has a SOC 2 Type 2 report from Sensiba covering Security, Availability and Confidentiality for 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026 (opinion dated 21 July 2026; Sensiba status letter, seen 19 October 2026). It does not cover the Privacy criterion. Its trust centre also lists GDPR and a CARR “Very Good” cyber rating from Aphore (20 November 2025 to 20 November 2026). Marloo’s trust centre also states that customer data stores are encrypted at rest, remote production access requires MFA, the business continuity and disaster recovery plan is tested annually, and formal data retention and disposal procedures exist (seen 19 October 2026). Its subprocessor list names 14 vendors, including AWS and Google Cloud (infrastructure), OpenAI and Anthropic (LLM providers), AssemblyAI (speech-to-text), Recall (meeting bot API) and Supabase (database). We have not seen the full report. Marloo’s co-founder has said it uses OpenAI and Anthropic services under zero-data-retention enterprise agreements (Risk Info, Oct 2025). FF News (24 August 2026) reports that Marloo’s US launch offers US data residency on AWS and that the company has a policy of zero retention of customer data for AI model training. We could not confirm hosting in other regions (such as UK or EU) from Marloo’s own pages, so ask Marloo for the data location for your region and the full report before rollout.

Meeting assistant marketed toward regulated industries, with admin-enforced recording controls rather than per-user opt-in.

Compliance note
Fellow states it hosts data in AWS Canada Central and does not use customer data to train AI models; its AI features use US-based sub-processors, which workspace admins can switch off (as at 12 Oct 2026). Fellow and Global Relay both document a Global Relay Open Connector for Fellow (as at 5 Oct 2026); firms subscribe to archiving separately through Global Relay.
Widely used transcription and summary tool, not built specifically for regulated finance workflows.
SOC 2 Type IIActive litigation — recording & training consent
Compliance note
A federal class-action suit filed in California alleges Otter records meetings and trains on conversations without valid consent from all participants; Otter states it obtains explicit opt-in permission. Unresolved as of publication — this is an allegation, not a finding, but it's a live legal question worth understanding before using it on client calls.
Free-to-start meeting recorder and summarizer with a wide small-business user base.
SOC 2 Type IITrains on data — opt-out available
Compliance note
Offers an opt-out from training, but it isn't the default — confirm it's switched on firm-wide before any client meetings are recorded.
AI meeting assistant aimed at sales and customer-facing teams, with conversation intelligence and CRM integration alongside transcription.
SOC 2 Type IIHIPAA compliant
Compliance note
Built more for sales workflows than advisory or compliance use specifically, though still worth evaluating for firms wanting conversation analytics alongside notes. Its training-data policy is not stated on the pages we reviewed (as at 12 Oct 2026), so ask the vendor directly.
AI notepad that blends manual note-taking with AI transcription — runs locally without a meeting bot joining the call.
SOC 2 Type IIUS-only data storage
Compliance note
No bot joins your call, which some firms prefer — but all data is currently stored on US servers with no EU/UK hosting option, worth checking against your firm's data-residency requirements before adoption.
Meeting recording and highlight-clipping tool that turns calls into shareable video narratives, alongside AI-generated summaries.
SOC 2 Type IINo AI-provider training
Compliance note
Grain states it is SOC 2 Type II certified and that meeting data sent to OpenAI is not used to train OpenAI's models (as at 12 Oct 2026). Hosting is in the USA and AI features cannot currently be turned off. Built more for sales and customer-call highlight reels than advisory documentation, so check fit against your actual workflow.
AI meeting assistant offering recording, transcription, and shared insights, used by over 10,000 teams worldwide.
SOC 2 Type IIJoins as visible bot
Compliance note
Unlike bot-free alternatives (Fellow, Jamie, Granola), MeetGeek joins meetings as a visible participant and some users report it lingering after others leave — worth testing this behaviour directly before rolling out to client-facing calls.
Cologne-based, bot-free AI note-taker that records audio locally rather than joining calls as a visible participant, supporting over 100 languages.
EU-headquarteredEU hostingBot-free
Compliance note
German-based with EU hosting by default, similar positioning to tl;dv on data residency — worth a look if keeping meeting data in-region matters for your firm.
