Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

This policy explains what information Attestly ("we," "us") collects when you visit attestlyhq.com, why, and what rights you have over it. Attestly is an independent directory; it is not a data broker and does not sell personal information.

Who runs this site

Attestly is operated as an independent project. For any question about this policy or your data, contact hello@attestlyhq.com.

What we collect

Automatically, from hosting infrastructure: like most websites, our hosting provider (Netlify) logs standard technical data for every visit — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. This is used for security, abuse prevention, and keeping the site running, and is retained only as long as the hosting provider's own logging policy requires.

If you email us: anything you send to hello@attestlyhq.com (your email address, name, and message content) is received and kept only as long as needed to respond to you, or as required by law.

Analytics: we use Netlify's server-side web analytics to understand how the site is used — for example pageviews, visitor counts, which pages are read, which sites referred visitors, and visitors' approximate country. It runs on the hosting server rather than through a script in your browser, so nothing is installed on your device. Netlify counts unique visitors using IP addresses, which are personal data under GDPR; we see only aggregated figures, and we use them solely to improve the site. Our legal basis is legitimate interests (understanding and improving the site).

We do not use cookies, tracking scripts, or advertising pixels. If that changes, this policy will be updated first, and where required by law, a consent banner will be shown before any non-essential cookie is set.

Search engines and indexing

This site is indexed by search engines (such as Google) so it can be found via search. Search engines collect their own technical data when crawling the site, governed by their own privacy policies, not ours.

External links and affiliate relationships

Attestly links to third-party AI tools and vendors. Some of these links are affiliate or referral links, disclosed on the site — see How ratings work. When you click through to a vendor's site, that vendor's own privacy policy governs any data they collect from you; Attestly has no visibility into or control over that.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU, UK GDPR and EU GDPR give you rights over personal data we hold about you, including the right to:

To exercise any of these, email hello@attestlyhq.com. We'll respond as promptly as we reasonably can.

Data retention

We keep data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected — technical hosting logs per our provider's standard retention period, and any email correspondence only as long as needed to handle your query, unless a longer period is required by law.

International transfers

Our hosting infrastructure may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where it does, our hosting provider maintains its own safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for international transfers, in line with UK/EU data protection law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves — for example, if we add a newsletter, or an interactive tool that collects more information. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version.

This policy is a good-faith effort to be clear and compliant, but it isn't a substitute for legal advice specific to your situation. If you have a specific concern about your data, contact us directly.
